I always had problems to identify the names of the individual shapes of a slide in PowerPoint and therefore mostly proceeded with a VBA script or worked with trial and error.
Now I have discovered the Selection Pane in PowerPoint. This way you don’t get the number of a shape but at least the unique name of the element, which is a big help.
